Book 8 in Ennis

Bahai's from Bozeman, Belgrade, Ennis, Idaho and Wyoming gathered together in Ennis, at the Home of Jenn (thank you! :o) to do Book 8. With an extended weekend, we covered more than half the book. It was great fun, and amazing having Derek there! Looking forward to the next session in a couple of weeks.

Meeting the friends in Billings

A couple of us from the Bozeman Baha'i cluster headed over to Billings, MT last Sunday, for the Nineteen Day Feast, and to meet the friends there. There was good cheer, and great food! All in all, a great trip (except Red Robin was closed because of the Superbowl, so some of us know we have to go back!)

One of Five Thousand?

Extract from a letter by the Universal House of Justice to the Conference of the
Continental Boards of Counsellors, 28 December 2010

"With this in mind, we will call upon the community of the Most Great Name at Ridván 2011 to raise over the next five years the total number of clusters in which a programme of growth is under way, at whatever level of intensity, to 5,000, approximately one third of all clusters in the world at present."

The Feast of Masa'il (Questions)

Some of the Bahai's of Bozeman, Belgrade and Livingston celebrated the Feast of Masa'il (Questions) this evening. The Feast letter from the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States of America was about Huqúqu'lláh (The Right of God). An interesting discussion followed the reading of the Feast Letter, where a comparison was drawn between Huqúqu'lláh and, say, the amount of time one dedicates to the Service of the Cause! In other words, as one is to give 19% of one's saving to the Faith, it would be worth thinking about whether it is only relevant and required for one to give 19% of one's time to the Service of the Cause. Now, ofcourse, this is not written anywhere, and by no means is to be taken as an interpretation of the law of Huqúqu'lláh, but is still worthy of thought and consideration. Also, one is to dedicate his/her entire life to the Service of the Cause, so where does the 19% of one's time come into the picture? Is this 19% of one's time, the Right of God? Worthy questions to think about and ponder upon...
